Those staying in hotels near Plymouth CA should venture off to Shenadoah Valley to visit Helwig Vineyards & Winery. The winery has a contemporary American barn design, combining functionality and modern-day, rustic charm. It has a unique cave system, and tours are available.

With 200 miles of gorgeous views, Helwig Winery offers an unparalleled wine country experience. The hospitality staff will work with you to find the best personalized tasting experience that best suits your group’s needs. The tasting room is open seven days a week from 10:30am to 4:30pm. Wine tasting is $5 for a selection of 5 wines.  The admission fee can also be applied toward bottle purchase.

An intimate “Vine to Wine” tour of our winery is available by prior appointment. Each group will be led through the winery grounds through the caves while sipping wine. On January 27, the Helwig Winery will host the 2^nd Annual Bridal Event.  The event will have premiere hand selected vendors, pristine, sparkling wine and delicious hors d’oeuvres. There will be interactive demos, wedding décor displays, giveaways and parting gifts just for brides. The Bridal event is sponsored by Real Weddings Magazine and Celebrations! Party Rentals. Tickets are $15 online and $20 at the door.  

On March 2^nd and 3^rd, the winery will host “Behind the Cellar Door-A Passport to the World.” From 11am to 4:30pm, there will be tastings of wines accompanied by a diverse array of gourmet foods and live music. Many seminars will be held to enhance attendees’ knowledge and appreciation of wine from around the world. Weekend events will be held at 36 participating winery locations.
