May is a great month to be staying at hotels in Jackson, CA. With the coming of spring and sunny weather, a car show and arts events will bring the streets of Jackson to life. Read below for information on these fun events!
Free First Friday Concerts, May 4
First, go to the Amador Student Music Fundraiser at 81 Hanford St. in Sutter Creek hosted by Marie Bedard and More Than Just Hair. There will be raffle prizes, food, drinks, and musical performances by students. There is a $15 donation for all this fun. The fundraiser runs from 5 to 7pm. Then the final of the Free First Friday concerts will be held at Theresa’s Banquet Room on Jackson Gate Road. Classic rock favorites by Unkl Bean and Hot Rod Red will be played to bring the community together. The event is sponsored by Amador Arts.
Motherlode Cruise Car Show, May 19
The 2nd annual Motherlode Cruise Car Show will return this spring to showcase the best cars in Jackson. The show is limited to 125 cars so be sure to register early! Registration before May 4 is $20 and at the gate $25. Check in and set-up is at 8am and the show runs from 10am to 3pm. The car show will be head on Main Street. Arts Networking Open House, May 24
AmadorArts members can attend this free mixer for the arts. It will be located at the Jackson Civic Center. Guests can mingle while enjoying student art, music and large murals. Complimentary appetizers and a wine bar will also be available. A raffle for 30 wildflower posters will be held as 20 members from the Amador Glee club perform songs from Rock Around the Clock and Scarborough. Artists can also set up studio in the meeting room and work on murals. Non-members can attend for $5.
