February is a great month to enjoy the arts and music in Amador County. If you’re in the area, be sure to check out these events!
First Friday Concerts, It’s All Good, February 3, Teresa’s Place
Every week starting February 3rd, AmadorArts will be presenting live local music at Teresa’s Place Banquet Room. This is a tradition that’s part of the Amador County Arts’ Council’s mission to support s the Arts in Amador County. The first band playing this season is a Rock & Blues band known as It’s All Good. The band starts playing at 6pm, but come early before all the seats get filled up! Listen to Rob Roberge plays on lead guitar, bass and vocals, Bobby Tann on drums and vocals and Mark Crisolo, lead and rhythm guitar and vocals. Guest artist Barry Duncan will join It’s all Good for a riveting performance. The music is free and early –no need to wait until the evening! Pizza, salads, calzones and beverages can be purchased in Teresa’s Banquet Room. Parking is convenient and free. Teresa’s place is located at 1235 Jackson Gate Rd., Jackson. Arts Networking Open House, February 23, Andis Wines
This is a mixer for the arts in Plymouth! Guests mingle and enjoy an art show, live music, complimentary appetizers and a wine bar. The open house is a great opportunity to visit the beautiful Andis Winery and tasting room. Artist Leslie Vasquez will have paintings show at this event. She paints landscapes, portraits, and even pet portraits on commission. She signs her paintings will her initials “LOV” to feel the love from her work. Local music star Herb Boxhorn will play the guitar during the night. Hors d’oeuvres will be served by caterer Bella Cucina. There will also be a raffle and other prizes. Arts networking events in the past have featured visual, theatre and young students in the arts. They have been well-attended and featured choral music. Andis Wines is located at 11000 Shenandoah Road in Plymouth.
