For the fourth year in a row, the Friends of the Amador County Library in Jackson CA are hosting their very popular event Boots 'N Books. Returning to host the event after his very successful show in 2012 is Dave Stamey, a cowboy entertainer who has won national acclaim. The event combines cowboy lore with poetry, a book reading and features music ranging from country and western to modern songs.
This year the event is being held in the auditorium of Calvary Chapel on February 9th at 3pm, however doors are opening at 2:30pm to ensure everyone is seated in time. Tickets range from $20.00 if you book them in advance or $25.00 should you attempt to buy them at the door. It is highly recommended that you book in advance if you are staying in Jackson CA, as the event is very popular and likely to sell out quickly. You will be welcomed and encouraged to take part in the raffle and door prizes, of which all proceeds will directly benefit the Friends Of Amador County Library. There will also be light refreshments available for everyone in attendance.
This is not just to be enjoyed by citizens of Jackson or the surrounding area but visitors to California are also able to enjoy the event and it is highly recommended that you attend. The Boots 'n Books event is something which can be enjoyed by the whole family, cowboy fans, country and western movie lovers, music fans and books and literature lovers will all get a massive kick out of this show and the best part is that you know it is all for a fantastic cause.
The show is being generously sponsored by the Jackson Rancheria Casino Resort, without their funds the show could not go ahead and thanks to them it will hopefully run for many more years to come.
