After Thanksgiving you can support local and independent retailers at Plaid Friday, celebrate with Christmas Delights and have a Serbian Christmas! For more details on these events, read below!
Plaid Friday, November 23
Who needs Black Friday when you can have plaid? Shoppers can show support by wearing plaid while shopping locally on Friday. Businesses will be offering promotions and discounts to all shoppers. Participating business will display a plaid Friday placard in their store or window. Guests can shop at stores like Moon n Star Tarot on Main Street, Hein & Company Used and Rare Books and many more stores in Jackson. Christmas Delights, November 23-24,
The Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving Day Santa will light Jackson’s Christmas Tree at 6pm at the Firehouse. Meet him with the whole family for photos at the national Hotel. Get into the holiday spirit while strolling down Main Street with sights and sounds. There will be free horse-drawn carriage rides, live music, and activities for kids and treats from downtown merchants. More information is available here
Holiday Gift Show, November 29-December 30
The Amador Arts will put on a Holiday Gift Show this year. You can find something for everyone on your shopping list at this art gallery. Come shop for affordable, local art with nothing priced above $125. All purchases will support the art, music and theatre in the community. A reception will be held with holiday treats on December 1 from 4 to 7pm as part of the Amador 1st Saturday Art Trek. Hanford St. Gallery will be hosting the show from 10am to 5pm Thursday through Saturday and 11am to 4:30pm on Sundays. For more information, click here.
