Main Street Theatre is a central part of Amador County’s up and coming theater scene. Every year, Main Street Theatre Works holds a spring fundraiser. The 2012 fundraiser will be held on March 31 at 6pm at the Native Sons Hall in Sutter Creek. The theme is “Gangsters and Cowboys.”
The fundraiser’s goal is to raise money for summer productions of Taming of the Shrew and The Majestic Kid. Guests are encouraged to dress in their breaches, cowboy hats and more for prizes. Dinner, music, an auction and games will be available to make the fundraiser a great night for all! The popular 50/50 raffle will be held again this year, where the winner gets the 50% of the pot. Seating is very limited to this fun event, so buy your tickets early!
Last year, Main Street Theatre Works transformed the Native Sons Hall into the Hotel Coq d’Or. Guests had a hopping pajama party to prepare for summer performances of A Flea in Her Ear. Tickets were sold out early to last year’s fundraiser.
Tickets for the event are $25 per person. You can purchase them in person at Hein & Company at 204 Main St. in Jackson, or online here. There is a $2 handling fee for purchasing tickets online.
