Catch Some Tunes at Music Festivals in Amador County!

Are you in the mood for some great music this fall? If you’re staying in hotels in Jackson CA this September you have the opportunity to attend Joshuafesttwo events with esteemed musical guests. Christian bands Switchfoot and Relient K will play at Joshuafest, or you can enjoy the relaxing blues at the Sutter Creek Festival. Read about these fun events below!

Joshuafest, August 30-September 2

Join this family friendly Christian Music Festival this Labor Day Weekend! Joshuafest features four days of over 50 bands on four stages. The 2012 lineup includes Switchfoot, Relient K, Five Iron Frenzy, The OC Supertones, Run Kid Run, Project 86, Children 18:3, The City Harmonic, Manafest, Write this Down and many more! You’re welcome to camp overnight or commute to Amador County for the show! The camping area is inside the festival gates, mixed with activities and stages for a 24-hour experience.  The fairgrounds do not allow charcoal barbecues or campfires. Showers are available on grounds. Bring an RV and friends to save money! Food will be available at Joshuafest selling tacos, snow cones and cappuccinos but attendees are welcome to bring their own food. Tickets range from $52.50 to $110. Sutter Creek Blues and Brews Festival, September 29

Celebrate Octoberfest with blues & brews! The Sutter Creek Blues and Brews Festival features 2 Beer Gardens and 2 Blues Bands: The Brad Wilson Band and the Bad Catz. Specialty foods will also be available in each blues garden. At the 14th annual festival, attendees can come and go between the two venues to experience different flavors of blues music. Bring a chair, blanket, or sit on a bale of straw, but be sure to get your feet moving! Admission to the festival is $25 or $15 for a non-alcoholic ticket. Entrance includes music, commemorative mug and drinks! Wine is available by the glass. No pets or children under 21 allowed. Arrive at the Sutter Creek Auditorium between 4pm and 7pm. Event is held in the Eureka Street parking lot and Randolph Street.
